So yesterday was my day of last minute errands and packing. I woke up early and started the day off strong with talking to the Financial Aid Department.
Always a good time, I tell ya!
The gist of it is that my Summer II loan money is going to be delayed because they messed up. I'll get money at some point; let's just hope that it is before I come home!
I had other random errands like stopping in work and returning bottles (desperate for money obv) and then I had some Jimmy Johns for lunch with the 'rents. I picked up my sister early and then started with packing. I shouldn't say started, because it was in the motion. For example, I had been doing laundry and setting aside clothes that I wanted to bring and I had packed my toiletries/first aid belongings like a month ago, so I had already started. It was the finishing and finalizing that needed to happen.
I must say, I'm an excellent packer. By far, one of the best I have every seen! I have years of experience racked up and it paid off with packing for abroad. I definitely have space for gifts and other purchases. Plus I expect to use a lot of the items that I am bringing and therefore not returning with them. I'm going to have such a problem with shopping though! I have not purchased hardly anything in the past few months other than necessities and items for abroad. So to top the London rush that I will have when I'm there I will have that working against me. And with that I am pleased that I have so much space available in my suitcase. While packing I had my sister work on some computer skills and help me type out the list of things that I am bringing. It really helps being organized so I can triple check that I have everything.
After all that I went to go see Moonrise Kingdom with some friends and it was amazing. That is my favorite movie right now! I wanted to see it so badly before I left for London so I am glad that it worked out. I want to just watch it again and again though! The movie is quirky, silly, touching, and just so perfect. I completely adored it!
Anyway...
Yesterday and today I have had some of my last "America chats" with friends and everything is so positive and exciting now! My sister and I hung out all day today. We went to go see Brave and we also played some arcade games and won some cool prizes. Now it time for me to go and it is so crazy! I told Katlin that it is like I am dying and I have had to hurry and see everyone and say my goodbyes and do all the final things that I want to do before I go...before my deadline arrives. So I think I've decided that I never want to know when I die haha.
Anyway, the next time I will be on, I will be over the pond!
